Protection of personal data

Data about the controller: F.A.MAIK d.o.o, PE Perhavčeva 10, Maribor, Slovenia collects and processes certain personal data about visitors to its website and certain data about persons who subscribe to our newsletter (link) or leave their contact details when downloading one of our manuals or similar content.

We use Google Analytics to collect information from website visitors about which pages on our website you visit, how often, how long you stay, and so on. This data helps us to see how many visitors are visiting our website, which parts of the website are of most interest to them, whether they have any problems when they visit, or, if they are very interested in our website, we may try to show them our advertisements when they otherwise visit the website (known as remarketing).
We explain that the remarketing to frequent visitors of the website and the analysis of the performance of our newsletters are carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. In doing so, we pursue our legitimate interests, namely to offer personalised and persuasive marketing offers to people who, by visiting our websites or reading our newsletters, clearly show an interest in our products.

We anonymise data about website visitors as soon as it is captured and only store it in aggregate form from then on, with the exception of remarketing data, which is stored by Google at https://adssettings.google.com/u/0/authenticated until you request that we stop collecting it. However, as far as the performance of analytics and remarketing is concerned, we process them with the help of Google (Google Analytics and AdWords), which in certain cases may involve the transfer of personal data to a controller in the United States.
Such transfers are allowed on the basis of a specific decision of the European Commission called the Privacy Shield, which found that US companies that commit to the principles of the Privacy Shield provide an adequate level of protection for personal data. For more information, visit https://www.privacyshield.gov/welcome.

Individuals are reminded that they have certain rights under the General Regulation (to access their data, to correct any incorrect data, etc.). They may exercise these rights by written request to our contact address above. Should they not be satisfied with our reply, they have the possibility to complain to the competent supervisory authority (Information Commissioner, Zaloška 59, 1000 Ljubljana, gp.ip@ip-rs.si) or to seek judicial protection.

In conclusion, the company

handles your personal data responsibly and in full compliance with established market practices.
